February 10, 2016 - Today Mom and Dad went on a train ride. It was called the Verde Valley Railroad. The tracks were originally built to haul Copper from the area where it was mined to smelters. They had fun and saw lots of pretty scenery.
February 11, 2016 - Today Mom and Dad went to Jerome, AZ. It's a town that was founded when Copper was mined in the area. Mom and Dad went to a museum that was in the house of the mine owner. They said it was a pretty amazing house for the time and they enjoyed learning about copper mining. After lunch they took a drive through the mountains toward Prescott. It was a beautiful road with LOTS of curves. Mom's very good at accounting for things, but she lost track at about 100 in 12 miles. From there, they turned around and came back through those same curves and back to me. I stayed home because it was forecast to be 80 degrees and they thought I'd get too hot in the car. I enjoyed a nice nap in the motor home with the air conditioning.
February 12, 2016 - Last night, Mom and Dad decided that they have had enough of the desert. It's getting too hot. Mom's been getting email from her clients and they are ready to set up appointments. They decided that it was time for us to head for home. We bid Cottonwood good-bye and hit the road. We spent the night near Boron, CA.
February 13, 2016 - Today we drove into the valley near Bakersfield and encountered fog. Then, we learned that it wasn't fog, but pollution. It was awful. We continued on and the fog lessened. We decided to spend the night at Rippon, CA which is about 45 minutes south of Sacramento. When we stopped, we went for a walk so that I could take care of "my business". For the first time in weeks, I saw green grass!!! OMG it was wonderful. Not only was it green grass, but there wasn't anything with stickers, anywhere. It's an area with a lot of agriculture. There were huge almond orchards and the almond trees were in bloom. That was pretty.
February 14, 2016 - More driving today. By afternoon, we reached Lake Shasta and then it started to get cloudy. Then, the most wonderful thing. It started to rain. We continued on and tonight were in Canyonville, OR at a nice RV park next to the Seven Feathers Casino. Tomorrow we have about 320 miles and we will be home. We've had a wonderful time, but we are all looking forward to being home. I miss my green back yard.
Sorry that I don't have any pictures of where we've been. It's been a long day and I'm too tired to download the cameras.
Catch ya Later!!

Greetings from Sedona
February 1, 2016 - I have to admit that I'd started to look a little scruffy. That's why Mom and Dad decided that it was a good day for me to go to the Spa (aka Groomer).
While I was getting a shampoo, shave, and haircut, Mom and Dad went to the Titan Missile Museum. Mom got to be Major Sharon and she turned one of the keys to launch the missile. Luckily, it was just pretend and the world is still safe.
Before they came to pick me up, Dad bought me a new ball. I managed to chew a hole in it in about 15 minutes. I've lost my touch. Should have been able to do it faster.
February 2, 2016 - Today we went to the Pima Air & Space Museum. We met our friends Rod and Sandie Wilson. They are part of the Rainier Ramblers, the Winnebago Camping Club that we belong to.
Mom and Dad told me that there was a Bone Yard Tour at this museum. WOW, Bone Yard, talk about up my alley!!!
When we got there, I learned that is a crazy human term for a place to store old planes. They store them in the desert because it is dry and they don't rust. They coat the tops with white stuff to keep the inside cool and protect the equipment. The military then takes spare parts off these planes to keep the rest of the planes flying.
I was so upset that there weren't any real Bones that I pouted in the Jeep all day while they went on their stupid tour. This is a picture of the Bone Yard.
February 4, 2016 - Today Mom and Dad went to the Desert Museum. It's part zoo and part botanical garden. They saw wolves
Foxes
February 5, 2016 - Today we drove to Phoenix. Mom and Dad had lunch with Jennifer, one of Dad's former colleagues. After lunch they did some grocery shopping and other errands and then went to dinner at a place called The Perch. It's a brewery with lots of birds. They had a fun time.
After they had dinner, we went to another brewery that is dog friendly. They are so friendly that they brought me a whole bowl of ice cubes. Most of you know how much I LOVE ice. It was the best! Lots of people came by and petted me. That was nice, too.
February 6, 2016 - Today Mom and Dad went to Taliesin West. That was Frank Lloyd Wright's last home.
In the evening, we went to Shamala's house. Shamala is another of Dad's former colleagues. Shamala was born in India and she made a traditional Indian meal for Mom and Dad. They said it was wonderful. I got to play with Shamala's fur kid Goldie. She's a really cute Golden Retriever.
February 7, 2016 - This morning Mom and Dad went to breakfast with Jim and Baxanne. Jim is also one of Dad's former collegues. After breakfast we drove to Cottonwood, Arizona. Cottonwood is near Sedona.
February 8, 2016 - Today we drove over to Sedona and looked around the town and art galleries.
February 9, 2016 - Today we went to Sedona again and took a hike to a place called Devil's Bridge. It's down a REAL Jeep road and then a 1.5 mile hike in the National Forest. Fur kids like me are allowed in National Forests, so I got to go on the hike.
The hike started with some easy stuff.
I had to stop and wait for Dad to catch up.
This is Dad and I sitting on the bridge.
After we finished our hike, we drove north from Sedona toward Flagstaff on Hwy 89a. It's on the list as one of the most beautiful drives in the US. We drove up a really cool road to a nice view point. There were lots of switchbacks. Three are in this photo. It was really nice.

February 3, 2016 - Today Mom and Dad went to Biosphere 2. It's the world's largest sealed environmental laboratory, built in the late 80's by an eccentric Texas billionaire. Dad really wanted to visit this place. Some of his friends helped to build it. There are over three acres under glass. They both found it very interesting. Here are some pictures.
On the way home, another beautiful sunset.
They saw Teddy Bear Cactus. This is the evil one that attacked me last week.
Foxes
and lots of other desert plants and animals. When we got home, we had a beautiful sunset at our campsite.

Then it got steep, but like Mom and Dad always say, I'm part goat. It's not just what I eat. I can climb rocks, too.
I had to stop and wait for Dad to catch up.

After our drive, Mom and Dad took a helicopter ride over Sedona. Dad got to sit in the front with the pilot and there was glass floor under his feet. I didn't get to go, but Mom and Dad really enjoyed it.
