WOW!  Have we been busy!

The humans exchanged gifts.  It was exhausting to watch them.  This is me at the festivities.

We had several visits with Grandmother and Granddaddy.  Granddaddy came to the RV park to see our house.

Mom and Dad went to a birthday party for my cousin Amanda.  She's on the human side of the family and her birthday is the day before New Year's Eve.  The party was at a restaurant, so I had to sit in the Jeep in the parking lot while everyone else was inside eating.  Then, I went home and had kibble - late!  

Saturday the 2nd, we got back on the road and headed south.  One of our first stops was in West, Texas.  This is SO confusing because West, Texas is actually south of Ft Worth in the center of Texas.  One of the special things about West is that they make Kolaches.   These are Czech rolls with sweet or savory fillings in the middle.  Mom got apricot and Dad got sausage.  It was lunch time and I don't get lunch.  Only breakfast and dinner.  Sometimes it's a bummer being a dog.  This is Mom at the Czech Stop.

The other highlight of Saturday was stopping for fuel.  This is why:

Yes, it really does say $1.559!!  AND, there was no line and easy access to get into and out from the pumps.

Saturday night we arrived at the Quintana Beach County Park near Freeport, Texas.  There is a beach here and Dad says the water is called the Gulf of Mexico.  It was pretty driving out here at night with all the twinkly lights.  I thought that I was seeing a city with lots of buildings, but actually it's oil refineries and chemical processing plants.  

Sunday morning I got to go for a run on the beach.  That was really fun.  Then, we went to visit my Great Aunt Harriet and her family.  Great Aunt Harriet is Granddaddy's sister.  Mom and Dad really enjoyed the visit and dinner with their family.

Today we went and picked up Aunt Harriet and brought her out to our "house" at the County Park.  After that, Mom and Dad went out to lunch with her and went around town and saw her church, the Art League where she gets together with other people to paint, and several other sites.  At dinner time, we all met up with the rest of Aunt Harriet's family and the humans had Mexican Food.  I waited in the car until we could come home for my kibble.

Tomorrow we will move to Galveston Island State Park.  Mom and Dad have promised me a run on the beach before we leave here and maybe a run on the beach once we get to Galveston.  The State Park is only about 45 miles from here, so it will be an easy day's drive.
