This morning Mom told me that we are going to Craters of the Moon National Monument. I thought that we’d get to be an Astronauts and go into outer space. I found out that the craters are from Lava flows and they aren’t on the Moon. They are in Idaho. I didn’t get to be an astronaut.
It’s OK though. It was still a cool place. Mom and Dad took a hike up a cinder cone and also hiked out and walked through a lava tube. I got to see lots of neat things from the car, because the lava was all over the place.
Tonight we are in Caldwell, Idaho. We have a pretty campsite with shade trees, grass, and a nice view of a lake. There are a few mosquitoes, but not many.
